Meet Cassie Schirm: The Newsie

My name is Cassie Schirm and I have reporting fever in my blood. I love reporting the news and I can't see myself doing anything else. Now I started off in Arlington, Texas went to Arkansas to go to the Lemke School of Journalism ( Woo Pig Sooie!!! ) and after graduation, I moved to the opposite side of the US to Bozeman, Montana. If you would have asked me just five years ago where would I be now I would have never even thought Montana in a million years, but I've fallen head over heels for it. The only downside is there are no Chickfilas! I've been working as a MMJ reporter for ABC FOX Montana in Montana and now I am looking for my second job in the industry. So far, I have learned a lot about myself, my career, and what to do and not to do in this industry. I've also had many experiences that no one can ever make up along with some pretty incredible adventures. That's why I decided I'd share my experiences and adventures I have on my journey to follow my dream to be a professional newsie. So if you need a laugh, are an aspiring news reporter, or curious about the strange world of the news business I'll have something for you.
